Guidelines For Registration - You MUST do all steps to successfully become a member of this forum:

 

> Click the green "Create Account" button at the upper right corner of the forum page. <

 

1. Use your Real Name for the Display Name, not a made up name or a "handle". First name and your last name initial.

 

2. You must write an email message to: janel@janeljacobson.com and Include a brief description of what your interest is with small scale carving. This step is essential.  

 

3. Respond to the Validation message that is sent automatically to verify your email address.

 

4. Fill in the blank with a five letter word to complete the sentence in the registration form.

Why real names?

 

This community is comprised of thoughtful, individual persons with real identities who appreciate communicating with others on a person to person basis. The membership has requested and appreciated the use of real names here.

 

Real person Avatars for the display avatar is highly recommended. In lieu of a photo of yourself, use a pleasing view of one of your works. The best is a photo of yourself, continuing on with the above request for real person names. We like communicating with each other on a real person basis about the important matters of our work and our thoughts about our work.

 

If you use a 'handle' or tag name or made up name, I will have to take time away from carving to write to you about your choice of Display Name, then take time to change it before completing your registration. I would much rather be carving than writing email messages to each registrant.

 

Thank you all ahead of time for adhering to the Guidelines when you register for participation on The Carving Path forum.

When you register, please read and do all of the short list of guidelines.

 

If your registration is not completed within one or two days, please write to janel@janeljacobson.com .

 

If you do not receive a response from me then there must be something incorrect with your registration, most likely with your email address.

 

When I am unable to find an alternate way to discover who you are and how to communicate with you because of a faulty email address, I will not be able to complete your registration.

 

If you re-register, you will need to 1) use a different email address, and 2) use a different Display Name. The registration software prevents duplicates in those two information areas.

 

Good luck. Remember to complete all of the guidelines upon registration.

EMAIL ADDRESS - Your email address needs to be correct and functioning.

 

Your spam filter needs to be checked to see if the forum's messages to you are stuck in there.

 

Your registration will fail if either of the above items are not attended to, thus your ability to post and participate will not happen.
