Colin
Greetings, I am having a problem with attaching pieces to a small stone carving. For example I am trying to attach a beak to a bird which because of circumstances I cannot carve on the original. I am using Pratleys clear , but the colour is all wrong. Can anyone advise me of a product that will be "invisible" or of a way of colouring the the glue to match the stone colour....Thank you, Colin

michael B
Colin, I have used all the glues named above and all work well, but one I have been using for about 2 years is great, it is a new generation super glue, made in Germany called fixco plus, awesome, I have glued heaps of different gems with it, nephrite, opal, agate, it dries clear and is incredibly strong, I live in Australia, this is where I purchased it from, have not posted here for a few months as work has been getting in the way of my carving. http://www.truelocal.com.au/business/fixco-plus-adhesives/south-hobart Cheers michael B
Colin
Hi Kenneth ,Yloh,&Michael, Thanks for the quick replies, but I think I may have asked for the wrong thing. The epoxy that I am using is adequate for what I want. It not only is strong for attaching, but is also a good filler for those parts that don't fit exacty right. My problem basically lies with the colour. I am mixing stone dust into the clear epoxy but it always shows up the join.I have tried using paint color but that impeeds the setting--it's always soft. While stone dust from the carving allows the epoxy to set hard, the colour is not correct. Is there a cure for this? Sorry for my incorrect previous note, I hope you can still help me...Thanks Colin
