Janel
Good wishes to you as you explore the real and marvelous cicada and test your skills at translating what you see. It is easy to get lost in such a project. I have carved two, and remain in awe of those creatures. I look forward to seeing your progress. Ed Twilbeck
Thanks Janel for the encouraging words on my attempt to carve a Cicada, but it seems that I have lost it. Had a show , Art Walk , here in My home town Sat, After cleaning the studio and moving some things around, I cannot find the Cicada. It was about half way done and coming along nicely,, well I will keep an eye out for it ,,,maybe it will come back to me,,, or I will start a new one,
Janel
I have found that the thing that is lost will be found in the last place that you will look for it. My must frustrating losses are the 2-4 mm eye lenses that ping of the grip and go flying up and away. Good luck with the cicada reappearing for you. How frustrating it must be to have it disappear.
